Weekend of April 27-29

Windsong activities this week included the first FREE Brunch meal last Sunday. As usual, there was great attendance. One resident enhanced our time together by invitiing her daughter join us. As a teacher, this daughter shared a few great stories about her experiences.

The brunch menu included breakfast pizza, homemade bread pudding, yogurt, scrambled eggs w/cheese, sausage links, and tomato juice. We went through about a 100 cups of coffee as we communed. Resident response to a brunch meal was positive, so efforts to have a brunch once each month will be made.

Craig purchased a new grill to share with residents. He initiated use by throwing a spontaneous hotdog party on Saturday, April 21. Residents had the chance to visit and bring their favorite picnic condiment. It was a bit of a gray day, but warm enough to make being outdoors almost enjoyable.

There are no set activities for this, the last weekend of April. But, residents should plan for the Monday, April 30th FREE Lunch at 11:45 PM. The menu hasn't been mentioned, so once again we can look forward to a surprise meal.
